Zero Tolerance Policy
The Dighton-Rehoboth Spartans Travel Basketball Program along with the Dighton Youth and Rehoboth Youth Basketball Leagues have collectively instituted a Zero Tolerance Policy. Your participation in these programs is considered by the Board of Directors to constitute your agreement to the follow this Zero Tolerance Policy.
Players and Coaches are Representatives of the Leagues and Should Act Accordingly
PLAYERS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO:
Use profanity, yell or scream at players, coaches, fans, scorekeepers or officials address the officials- only coaches may question officials show disrespect to players, parents, fans, coaches, scorekeepers or officials
COACHES ARE NOT ALLOWED TO:
Use profanity show disrespect to players, parents, fans, coaches, scorekeepers or officials yell or scream at opposing players, coaches or fans
SPECTATORS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO:
Use profanity, yell or scream at players, coaches, officials, scorekeepers or fans address coaches during the game address the officials or scorekeepers during or after the game show disrespect to players, parents, fans, coaches, scorekeepers or officials coach from the stands openly heckle and/or question calls/no calls of officials
THE PHILOSOPHY OF DYB, RYB & D-R SPARTANS IS:
Coaches will coach, players will play, officials will officiate, and fans will support their teams! Spectators should enjoy the game and are encouraged to give positive feedback to all players. Your conduct is a reflection on you, the team, the coaches, and the towns of Dighton and Rehoboth. Conduct detrimental to the Leagues on or off the court will not be tolerated.
Violations of this policy may result in either a warning or ejection from the gym. If necessary, on a case-by-case basis, the Board of Directors will determine if an additional penalty should be imposed (such as suspension from future games or expulsion from the league).
